We continue to work with the Bureau of Land Management, and at this time are
focusing on the LaPosa Travel Management plan, which  surrounds Quartzsite,
Arizona. This area includes trails between Bouse and Quartzsite on the southwest
side of Plomosa Road.
REMINDER:  When you are heading out to the off-highway trails, please slow down
when passing homes, business or campsites. It is legal to drive on the paved
streets or roads, instead of riding on the shoulder and raising the dust. Do not
ride on the highway unless you have street tires and the correct vehicle license.
Arizona Department of Transportation has approved our permit for “Adopt A
Highway”. About 20 members helped cleanup a one mile stretch of highway north
of Bouse on Monday, January 30.
Flags, caps, t-shirts and bags with the club logo are now available. Contact one of
the officers to purchase or for more information.
The purpose of the Ghost Riders is to work with State and Federal Agencies to
keep the desert roads and trails open for public use. To work on projects that help
our community, our highways and our desert. To promote the sport of ATV riding
with safety, awareness and respect for the environment.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who enjoys the sport of off-
highway riding and support our mission and purpose. We have 124 members at
this time.
Membership dues are $10 per person annually. Membership is valid for one year
from November 1st to October 31st regardless of the date joined. Meetings are
held on the 3rd Monday of each month from November to March at the Desert
Pueblo Recreation Hall at 9:00 am.
If you have not renewed your membership for 2012 you can do so by contacting J.
B. Peters, J.C. Sanders or Esther McKinley or, pay at the next meeting.
